Hello all,
It appears that in Bexley - secondary and Primary schools are to be closed to all, apart from key workers and vulnerable children - until 18th January.
However, if I have heard correctly- nurseries not attached to schools currently appear to be staying open to all at this time.
Please ensure you continue to follow government guidelines to protect yourselves and the children and staff at preschool.
Try to restrict to one adult dropping and collecting children from Preschool.
Please wear a mask at drop off and collection unless exempt.
If you do not feel well or your child is not well please do not send them into preschool. I know the guidelines state a temperature, cough or loss of taste or smell, but many people are having different symptoms- I’ve seen and heard about- ongoing headache, sore eyes, sores on children’s feet, rash over legs, pain around ribs and chest, struggling to breath, breathlessness, painful heart, painful cramps and loose stools, stiff body and neck, lack of energy, sore throat- the list goes on.
You know yourself and you know your children better than anyone- ask yourself this question before sending your children to nursery- is this normal for you?
Please ensure your child wears the correct uniform and dresses for all weather as doors will be open a lot of the time to allow safer free-flow play. If your child is not going to be coming into preschool please let me know as normal so I can update the register.
At the moment, unless things change- we do plan to be open from Tuesday 5th January. If we are told to only open to key children and vulnerable children I will update you as soon as I am made aware. Of course I do always have to consider staff numbers too at this time. I will keep you updated as we go along. Please stay safe xx
