About us
Jack and Jills is a fully inclusive Preschool that has a genuine love for all children. Here, we are dedicated to supporting your family in your child's first step into education. We are open Monday to Friday 9.15-3pm. Please contact us for prices (we do not charge extras on top of funded places). We offer half days or full days; we accept 2 year offer and 15hr Working Family Funding and 15 or extended 30 hour funding for 3 years plus. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for all children, where they feel safe and confident to learn and grow as a whole. We teach children to be mindful and resilient. Children (and staff) also learn to balance their emotions and be happy and healthy through breathing, mediation and yoga; including Wellness Wednesday. Wellness Wednesday takes place outside, where we learn more about the outdoors. We also enjoy Forest School at Preschool. Learning
We offer open-flow play, with daily access to the garden in all weather (please provide wet suits and welly boots). At Preschool, children learn to develop independence and confidence, through 'In The Moment Planning'; where children self select what activities to do and what play with. Staff work hard to engage, inspire and play with your children, supporting their learning further in everything they do. Everything is based around the children's interest, so engagement is kept to the maximum. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage - meaning we follow the same curriculum as Primary Schools. We are constantly observing and assessing, ready to notice that teachable moment, where we can gently step in and guide your child's learning further and develop those thinking skills. We maintain close, family friendly relationships with our parents, who can give us a bell at any time and come in for a chat. Remember we are here for you too!!
Meet our teachers
Our teachers are not just teachers, we are also a family. We always stride to provide the best care and education for your children. As a result, we have a highly qualified team - Our Manager and Deputy are both qualified Primary School Teachers, we have 4 Early Talk Boost Teachers, a Forest School Teacher, a qualified SENCO and a Maths Champion, among other qualifications. All staff have Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene qualifications.
At Preschool, we aim to give children the skills to be strong and resilient. We also teach yoga, breathing and meditation. Our staff are absolutely lovely, and always ready for a big hug.
We offer a rich Curriculum that we adapt to meet your child's needs, we offer ICAN Language boost Sessions to support children's langauge skills - run by our qualified Primary and Early Talk boost teachers, we offer Yoga and meditation sessions, Daily Jolly Phonics, Spanish lessons, Forest School and also have a Sports Coach that comes in to work with the children. All is covered in your Preschool fees, with no hidden extras. Our Registration fee of £50 includes a Sweatshirt, t shirt and Preschool bag to set your child off with their very own Preschool Uniform.
